  A memorable event was organised, once again in Turin, on 4 July 2007 to introduce the new Fiat 500, exactly 50 years after the Fiat 500. Since then, the second generation of the model that epitomised the history of Italian cars was quick to conquer everyone's hearts. For the many enthusiasts and customers worldwide, Fiat decided to celebrate each birthday of the little 500 with special events and by introducing highly interesting innovations. In 2008, picnics were organised in the main European capitals and the powerful 500 Abarth was introduced. The same happened in 2009 for the international presentation of the Fiat 500C, the original cabriolet version, which pays homage to the style of the 1957 open top, which received over 32000 orders in only a few months. It aims to build on the success of its predecessor, the Fiat Grande Punto, and become a benchmark for innovation, safety and style thanks to several new features. The name "Evo" highlights a level of evolution in car design that is capable of satisfying customers who are increasingly demanding in terms of technology, driveability and respect for the environment. The technological excellence of the Fiat Punto Evo is in evidence primarily through the broad range of Euro 5 engines, including the second-generation 1.3 MultiJet and the 1.4 MultiAir - the revolutionary technology developed by Fiat Powertrain Technologies that will gradually be adopted by all Fiat Group engines. Alongside these innovative power units and the more traditional ones are the hybrid methane and LPG systems, combining to form the most complete and eco-friendly engine range in the segment, bar none.   The Fiat 500 by Diesel has chosen Bread & Butter, the show dedicated to youth fashion in Berlin, to preview of two important new features: Midnight indigo blue, a special body colour, and the 1.3 Multijet II 95 HP (Euro 5) with Start&Stop system fitted as standard, the new second-generation turbodiesel, now even more environmentally-friendly and suitable for city driving. The result of close collaboration between Fiat and Diesel, the famous clothing brand by Renzo Rosso, the model will be limited edition and marketed worldwide. Its success is boundless and from Italy to Japan, to France, almost 6 thousand cars have already been ordered out of the 10 thousand available in total. In Berlin, within Bread & Butter, the Diesel stand and the exclusive Fiat 500 will no doubt attract the attention of the visitors, just as they did at the recent Mumbai Motor Show, India. Spanning a surface area of 700 square metres in the Denim Base section, the Italian label will present its 2010 autumn/winter collections and the new shop-in-shop/corner concept, conceived as a genuine stage to present and convey the values of the brand and all its creativity even within multi-brand stores.   The Doblò comes with a range of petrol or diesel engines (Natural Power 1.4 16v T-JET 115 HP versions will be available after launch), all made by FPT Fiat Powertrain Technologies. According to the power levels, the engines are combined with mechanical 5 or 6 speed gearboxes (a new 1.6 version with robotised gearbox will be making its debut next year). The following engines are available at launch: 1.3 MultiJet II 16v - 90 HP (Euro 5) with Start&Stop and DPF; 1.3 Multijet 16v - 90 HP (Euro 4); 1.6 MultiAir 16v - 105 HP (Euro 5) with Start&Stop and DPF; 1.6 Multijet 16v - 105 HP (Euro 4); 2.0 MultiJet 16v - 135 HP (Euro 5) with Start&Stop and DPF; 1.4 16v - 95 HP (Euro 5) with Start&Stop; and 1.4 16v - 95 HP (Euro4). All Euro 5 engines are provided with standard Start&Stop system for stopping the engine momentarily when standing and restarting it, to cut consumption and increase quietness in the passenger compartment. The scheduled service frequency has been decreased with respect to the previous model. For the main coupon, the Doblò has gone from 20000 km of the previous 1.3 Multijet engine to 35000 km of the new 1.3 Multijet engine (Euro 5). This means a 34% saving on schedule servicing costs on a distance of 120000 km.
